“I use my creations to showcase my interpretations of everyday life and emotions.”
Shanine Delph was born and raised in a small town in Graysville, Indiana. A childhood of fishing, reading, and adventuring has fostered a creative spirit displayed within her art. Shanine is an artist passionate about Three-dimensional art, photography, and design. Shanine is a senior at Indiana State University and is on track to receive her Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Sculptural design. Two of her works are currently being placed in the Indiana State University Yang family gallery as a part of the Juried Student Art Exhibition.
Shanine channels the raw beauty of natural elements into her sculptures and photography. Her primary medium is woodworking. Shanine believes that the trees have stories to tell, so she fuses human nature and the natural forms of the wood to create abstract pieces that speak to the human experience and all the positive and negative emotions that come with that. Shanine is influenced by artists like Louise Bourgeois and Dan "Nuge" Nguyen, who focus on emotional depth, movement, and flow.
